More McCain-Palin Town Hall Questions

By admin

As earlier, I’m collecting possible questions for those of you lucky enough to attend these imaginary McCain-Palin town hall meetings:

1. What is the difference between Obama’s plan to use a windfall profits tax to secure energy rebates for Americans, which McCain has said is risky, and Gov. Palin’s use of a windfall profits tax to secure energy rebates for Alaskans?

2. Sen. McCain, how can you come to these American factories and talk about manufacturing jobs when you’ve historically opposed ‘Buy American’ initiatives in the Defense Department and Secret Service, calling them ‘waste’?

3. Sen. McCain, why wouldn’t you look at Senator Obama during the debate?

4. Sen. McCain, you said on “This Week” on ABC that we shouldn’t take what Gov. Palin says to reporters or during conversations as her official policy. Is this an admission that we aren’t to take you at your word, but merely at what’s printed out for you?

5. Gov. Palin, given that your responses on your foreign policy experience have been universally panned and that New York City is actually closer to Moscow than Juneau, would you now concede that your proximity to the sparsely populated areas of Northeast Russia provides you with no real insight into Russian affairs and thus no additional foreign policy experience than, say, a state senator from Illinois?

6. Gov. Palin, you’ve largely avoided directly answering the question of whether you are endorsing Ted Stevens for US Senate. If his trial extends past through election day, will you ever take a position?

7. Do you support Don Young?
